The National President of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), an Abuja based anti-corruption NGO facilitates with all Muslim faithful and Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a press statement signed and made available to news men by his media aide Deshi Munkuwe; Amb. Majidadi urged Muslims to adhere to the spirit of love, sacrifice, peace, charity and kindness, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) and to equally use the moment to pray for peace, unity, stability and development of Nigeria at its current states of insecurity and disunity.
“As Nigerians, we are all aware of the worsen acts of criminality ranging from insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, etc which have indeed caused and yet counting number of deaths, properties worth millions of naira, farms destroyed and of course increases numbers of Internally Displays Persons, as well orphans and widows.”
“These call for fervent prayers to Allah for divine intervention as the governments at all levels are finding solutions to the problem. However, due to the nationwide unrest, the masses are faced with serious hardship warranting the need for intervention by both the government and individuals in aiding the mass.”
Amb. Majidadi further reminds Muslims of the paramount need to reach out to the less privileged most especially at this time so that Allah will accept their sacrifices and bless them accordingly.
In conclusion, the anti-corruption champion stated that AITA at this time of celebration wishes all its partners, clients, Muslims and Nigerians in their homes and those traveling from one location to another, a safe, peaceful and remarkable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
