No More Excuse, Just Resign – Majidadi to CBN Gov

His Excellency, Amb. Aminu Abubakar Majidadi, the National President of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA) has call on the Central Bank Governor; Godwin Emefiele to resign his position considering the current devalue of the Naira which is within 700 to one dollar.

During a press briefing on major topical issues in his Abuja office, Amb. Majidadi expressed his dismay why in the developing countries like Nigeria, leaders don’t take responsibility for their failures and finds it difficult to resign

“In Nigeria today, it is obvious that the exchange rate has affected the prices of commodities generally which has consequently brought untold hardship to Nigerians.” He said.

“Going by the current worsening economic situation in the country at the moment caused by the policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria among other factors, it is time for the CBN Governor to resign and allow a new team to come on board with fresh ideas and policies towards salvaging the current economic hardship.”

“I will want to state here that this is not the issue of party, tribal or sectional interests, it is about Nigeria and its masses. I am an APC card bearer and stakeholder and I am calling on Emefiele to resign for the interest of the nation and Nigerians.” Majidadi ended.
