The national president of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Ambassador Aminu Abubakar Majidadi has called on the federal government of Nigeria to act fast in profiling solutions to the worsening insecurity before it get out of hand.
In a press briefing at his Abuja head office after the Juma’at Prayer, Majidadi said the current state of insecurity in most parts of Nigeria with Abuja as the seat of power is gradually taking the lead is alarming and a sign that nowhere in the country is completely safe.
“I will like to state here that with the recent series of attacks and killings within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and others by bandits and terrorists against the Nigerian people and security personnel, it is a clear indication that if nothing is done urgently to change manner at which the government handles insecurity, things may likely fall out of hand.”
“It is every unfortunate that the terrorists could even threaten the number one citizen of this country and a governor which since after the threat, there have been series of attacks within the FCT.” Majidadi added.
The anti-corruption crusader and security expert further called on the government to deploy new security mechanisms and approach to manage the current state of insecurity that is on the increase daily.
In conclusion, Amb. Majidadi called on Nigerians to support and cooperate with all the security apparatus towards exposing and curtailing the plans of attacks by the enemies of Nigeria who have vowed to cause mayhem on Nigeria and Nigerians.
