2023 Elections: The Mistakes Nigerians Must Not Repeat – Amb. Majidadi

As the 2023 general election is fast approaching, the National President of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA) called on Nigerians to learn from their past mistakes by voting the people into leadership positions.

Amb. Majidadi made this call during the opening ceremony of a sensitization campaign organized by AITA on Permanent Voters Card (PVC) registration in its Abuja head office.

“I am calling on Nigerians to come out in mass to register and ensure they possess their PVC as the 2023 forthcoming elections are fast approaching. I wish to call all eligible Nigerians who have attained the age of 18 and above to ensure they have PVC to be able to decide for themselves the kind of leaders they deserve.

“Nigerians must not allow few individuals to decide their fate because that can only be achieved when the masses wisely choose leaders with positive ideologies and who have the interest of the people at heart, and who are not after what the country can offer to them but what they can offer to the country.” He stated.

Amb. Majidadi further emphasized and cautioned Nigeria against repeating their past mistakes of not coming out to vote and in voting the wrong people who are responsible for the bad leadership Nigeria is into today which gave birth to the current hunger, insecurity, unemployment and other social ills.

In conclusion, Majidadi said AITA has deemed it feet to embark on the sensitization campaign as part of its mandate and contribution to the progress and growth of Nigeria which can only be guaranteed when the right leaders are elected.
