The National President of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Ambassador Aminu Abubakar Majidadi, has advised Muslims worldwide and Nigerians to always emulate the virtues of forgiveness, love, peace and unity as exemplified by the Holy Prophet, Muhammad (SAW) while he was alive.

In his message on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud in commemoration of birth of the Holy Prophet through his media aide Deshi Munkuwe, Amb. Majidadi said it is a period to reflect on the teachings of peace, compassion, and unity of the Islamic Prophet, Muhammad bin Abdullah.

The anti-corruption crusader said, “It is with a grateful heart and joy that I extend my warmest greetings on behalf of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), and Capitalwatch Media, to Muslims worldwide and Nigerians on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Maulud. This significant day marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and a time when we reflect on his teachings of peace, compassion, and unity.

“It is pertinent to note that Eid-el-Maulud is not just a celebration of the birth of our beloved Prophet; it is an opportunity for us to come together as Nigeria to reaffirm our commitment to the values of tolerance, love, and kindness that he so tirelessly preached. It is a time for us to remember the importance of empathy and the virtues of togetherness that should guide our interactions with one another.

“As we celebrate this day, let us remember that our strength lies in our unity, and our progress depends on our ability to live in harmony with one another. Our cooperation and respect for one another’s beliefs and cultures have been the bedrock of our peaceful coexistence. Let us continue to nurture this spirit of understanding and unity.” Majidadi said.

Amb. Majidadi further urged Muslims to extend a hand of friendship to their neighbours, regardless of their background or beliefs as exemplified by Muhammad (SAW) during his life time and in his teachings.

He added, “At this hard times in our country, let us open our hearts to those less fortunate and share our blessings with those in need. In doing so, we not only honour the teachings of the Prophet but also strengthen the bonds that hold our community together.

In conclusion, Majidadi prayed that may this year’s Eid El Maulud bring to families peace, prosperity, and happiness. “Let us remember the lessons of the Prophet Muhammad and strive to emulate these virtues of the Prophet in our daily lives towards making our communities peaceful, united and prosperous.”
