As part of its tradition to annually pay visits to orphanage homes, Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Wednesday, visited NADO Orphanage Home located at Lokogoma, I-Pent 3 Estate Plot 70, after Efab Estate, Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, the National President of AITA; Ambassador Aminu Abubakar Majidadi who let a team of AITA staffs and friends reiterated the NGO’s commitment to identify with orphans and the less-previlaged as part of its contribution to the betterment of the society and humanity in general.
“As a front runner anti corruption NGO in Nigeria, we are not only committed to fighting corruption but also to ensure the orphans and other less-previlaged around us are given the necessary attention and support that can put smiles on their faces,”Majidadi said.
The National President of AITA in recognition of the current hardships in Nigeria called on well meaning individuals in the country to assist the less-previlaged around them and visit orphanage home with gifts which will go along way to making the fatherless and the motherless children feels and have a sense of belonging and livelihood.
Majidadi further said “the situations of many children at orphanage homes are pathetic and pitiable. I am calling on individuals and organizations like ours to see it a responsibility to visit orphanage homes and help the children which will no doubt give them hope and make our society a better place for all”.
On the other hand in her words, Mrs Silvan Aminu, the head admin of AITA encouraged the children and the management staffs of NADO Orphanage Homes to be hopeful and prayerful to God Almighty as the powerful and the provider of all human needs.
According to her, God loves all humans and created all for a purpose which no situation can change that. All that is needed is prayer and absolute believing in the powers of God over all situations, as with God all things are possible.
AITA during the visit presented gifts of items and cash donations to the children. There were also words of encouragement to the children and prayers offered to God for His divine favours and miracles upon the children and the home.
NADO Orphanage Home on their part commended and appreciated Amb. Majidadi and the team of AITA staffs/friends for the show of love and gifts of item which in their words said only God in heaven know how best to reward the givers in His own ways.
The children in response to the kind gesture, sang songs of thanksgiving to God Almighty for the life of the National President and AITA, and also prayed to God to bless and reward same.
