A man named Nuhu Ezra has been apprehended in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria for possessing a human skull and bones.
The arrest occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, following credible intelligence received by the police. This information was disclosed in a statement by Josephine Adeh, Public Relations Officer for the FCT Command Police.
According to the statement, “Operatives of the FCT police command attached to Iddo police division on July 9, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested one Nuhu Ezra ‘m’ of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja, with a human skull and bones. The suspect, who was found with the body parts, stated during interrogation that he had collected them from the bush while hunting in Kuje and intended to sell them for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000).”
The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has mandated a thorough investigation to determine the origin of the body parts, the identity of the intended buyer, whether Ezra was involved in any killings to obtain the parts, and the duration of his involvement in this alleged trade.
