The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called on Nigerians to use the celebration of
Eid el Maulud for sober reflection and prayers for the nation as the Present administration navigate through the economic challenges to deliver on the renewed hope agenda for the development of the country.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Agency’s Deputy Director, Press, Paul Odenyi.

The Director General of NOA, Lanre Issa- Onilu made the call in a message of felicitation to the Muslim faithful, noting that Nigeria was in dire need of citizens and leadership that would exemplify the virtues of selflessness, tolerance, peace, love and fairness; virtues that Prophet Mohammed displayed.

He urged the Muslim ummah to rally its supplication to God for wisdom and guidance of President Ahmed Tinubu to take Nigeria to its place among the community of developed nations.

He further pleaded with Nigerians to shun the temptation of using the public holiday to engage in any form of lawlessness, adding that government has put necessary measures in place to ensure that the lives and properties of Nigerians are adequately protected during the holiday and beyond.
