The Borno State Police Command has conducted a medical outreach at Mashimami Barracks, Maiduguri.

This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Daso.
According to Daso, the outreach was part of police-community engagement.
He stated, “The Commissioner of Police in Borno State Command, CP ML Yusufu, in a coordinated effort to promote health and ensure the safety and well-being of police personnel and community members, conducted a medical outreach at Mashimami Barracks, Maiduguri
“The outreach which is part of police community engagement and also underscores the humanitarian effort of the National POWA Presiden, Dr Elizabeth Egbetokun, who donated relief materials and medications to flood-affected victims in Borno.
“The outreach is estimated to support over 500 residents, including vulnerable community members with the following services, free medical consultations, health screenings (blood pressure, blood glucose, malaria), distribution of medical supplies and relief materials, enlightenment on disaster risk reduction, prevention, and response, yygiene and sanitation education.”
The command, however, reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety, while calling on members of the public, especially residents within Mashimami Barracks, to take advantage of the medical outreach program and access free medical services.
