ABU Students’ Council Award Amb. Majidadi ”Icon of Humanitarian Service & Epitome of Good Leadership”.

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has awarded the National President of Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Ambassador Aminu Abubakar Majidadi for Humanitarian Service and Good Leadership.

Presenting the award to Amb. Majidadi in his Abuja office on Monday, ABU SRC president, Comrade Jibril Idris Kawuje commended Majidadi for his selfless services to humanity and Nigerians as well as his pragmatic contribution in ensuring that the less-privileged and victims human rights abuses got help and justice.

According to Kawuje, ‘We as students’ council of ABU Zaria and the entire institution are here to recognize, commend, encourage and to award his excellency for the impactful and enormous efforts in fighting for people that can not fight for themselves.

“Sir, it has come to our notice, the roles you played in ensuring that Fatimah, the female student from Sokoto who was crushed by a car and the case seemed to have been abandoned if not of your intervention. We are also aware of the case of minor who was victim of medicine negligence in a Lagos hospital that led to his demise. These are few among many other interventions you took upon yourself and ensured justice.” Comrd said.

Kawuje further said “this award to you Amb. Majidadi is also in recognition of your giant stride in empowering youths, entrepreneurship and human development.

In his acceptance speech, Amb. Majidadi commended the students’ representative council of ABU Zaria for the recognition and honour. Majidadi said, ‘it’s a thing of joy to see students union as yours and young people making efforts to applaud good deeds and the fight against injustice.

Also, Amb. Majidadi commended the management of ABU for supporting the students in they are doing towards recognizing people who are exceptionally doing well in changing the narrative in the war against corruption, injustice and other social ills in Nigeria.

In conclusion, Majidadi thanked the students’ council and promised to continue to fight corruption and other social ills in our society. Also, the anti corruption crusader vowed to support Nigerian youths in the best way he can for the betterment of the future of Nigeria.
