ARISE News anchor Mairo-Ese, THISDAY Editors Nwabogor and Ezeobi have been named among 25 Most Powerful Women in Journalism 2024.
The THISDAY Style Editor, Konye Nwabogor, alongside the Group Features Editor for THISDAY Newspaper, Chiemelie Ezeobi, as well as Arise TV Morning Show Co-anchor, Ayo Mairo-Ese, were on Tuesday, named amongst the 25 Most Powerful Women in Journalism (WIJ) 2024
While Ezeobi moved four places from no 10th in 2023 to number six in 2024, Nwabogor clinched 14th spot this year, two positions up from the 2023 listing.
Also, making the Leaders and Company Group proud was Mairo-Ese, who clinched number 16, as against the 25th position she attained in 2023.
While the number one spot was retained by the Director of News and Editor-in-Chief at TVC, Stella Din Jacob, Toun Sonaiya of Women FM, and Kadaria Ahmed of Radio Now both maintained the second and third spots respectively.
Annually, Women in Journalism Africa (WIJAFRICA) proudly honors Nigeria’s most influential female journalists.
