AITA Urges Tinubu to maintain crusade against corruption

By Danusa Ocholi

As Nigerians celebrate the election of a new leader,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  a notable human rights activist, philanthropist, anti-corruption crusader and publisher of Capital Watch Media Magazine,  His Excellency, Ambassador Aminu Abubakar Majidadi, has called on  the  nation’s President-elect not to relent on his promise to rekindle the hope of Nigerians in their country when he takes over the leadership of the nation May 29.

Ambassador Majidadi’,  who is  the National President of Al- Mushahid Initiative for Transparency   and Accountability[AITA]’ s advice is contained in a congratulatory message  to the former Lagos State governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress [APC] shortly after he received his certificate of return with his vice  Alhaji Kashim Shetima from the Independent National Election[INEC] chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu on Monday in Abuja.

Ambassador Majidadi particularly tasked Nigeria’s President-elect not to relent in the fight against corruption, which he said is a cardinal principle of the APC-led government of President Buhari, and even the party’s manifesto.

He added: “There  is no doubt that the outgoing leader, President Muhammadu Buhari tried to combat this hydra-headed monster called corruption; there is therefore  the need for Asiwaju Bola  Tinubu administration to continue the fight against this ill which has drained our commonwealth and compounded poverty  problems  in the land.”

Ambassaor Majidadi equally commended Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his promise to form  an all-inclusive government , that will carry even his opponents along.

This, Ambassador Majidadi maintains  underscores the fact that Tinubu is willing to bring his enormous experience as a true democrat to uplift the nation

The President-elect  while receiving his certificate of return with his vice, Kashim Shetima  on Monday in Abuja  promised among other things, to be a servant of the larger Nigerian nation when he takes over the reins of government in a matter of months.
