EFCC Arrests Wanted Suspect Over N2 Billion Naira Fraud In Lagos

An unlicensed foreign exchange dealer, identified as Chike Nosa Agada, who was recently de­clared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commis­sion (EFCC) over his alleged nefarious activities in the for­eign exchange market, has been nabbed by the operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the commission. It was gathered he was arrest­ed at a residence in the Bourdil­lion, Ikoyi area of Lagos on Mon­day, October 16, 2023, during a sting operation by the operatives of the commission, following credible intelligent information linking him to the alleged fraud.

The 37-year-old native of Udi Local Government Area of Enu­gu State, it would be recalled, was declared wanted by the EFCC on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, for allegedly obtaining money by false pretence and stealing by con­version to the tune of N2 billion.

The commission said upon ar­rest, a mobile phone device was recovered from him.
