The national president of Al Mushahid initiative for transparency and accountability Ambassador Aminu Abubaker Majidadi has condemn in strong terms the cowardice attack by bandits in tsafe local government of Zamfara state where not fewer than 30 worshippers were abducted from a mosque.
He said the assailant who carried out this unfortunate attack should be brought to book, calling on the various security agencies to as a matter of urgency rescue the victims and apprehend the attackers.
He reiterated the importance of synergy and intelligent sharing between the security agencies in the fight against insecurity and other criminal activities, challenging the security agencies to redouble their efforts in ending the insecurity situationin the country.
It was gathered that the bandits who have been terrorizing the area invaded a mosque in the early hour of the morning during subhi (morning) prayers, while shooting sporadically before whisking the victims into a nearby forest.
A source in the area said the bandits came in a large number at around 5 am when they were about to start their prayers, they directed everyone to go outside and follow them.
The national president also call on residents to be very vigilant and be aware of happening around them, if they notice any abnormality they should report to the security agency for quick response
