KIDNAPPING: AITA National president condemn abduction of Nigerians

 

Ambassador Aminu Majidadi the national president of Almushahid initiative for transparency and accountability has call on the government to nip in the bud the spate of kidnapping currently happening in the country and ensure the safe release of those abducted especially the over 687 recently kidnapped in Kaduna and Borno state.

In a fresh development terrorist yesterday Sunday night attacked kajuru station community and kidnapped 87 people after launching a fresh attack in kajuru the local government area.

Ambassador Aminu Magidadi while reacting to the latest abduction, bemoans the continued security challenges in the country, insisting that Nigerian children and adults must be allowed to learn and live in a secure and safe environment.

He called for concerted effort to combat the menace of security challenges in Nigeria, urging the relevant authorities to leave no stone unturned and ensure that people live in a conducive atmosphere.

He queried the spate of security challenges in particular Kaduna state, despite having the highest number of military and other security institutions in the country, adding that better security measures need to be implemented to avoid future occurrence.

Abduction which was restricted to certain zones have in recent times spread to other part of the country, they bandits have aswell taken their battle to Abuja when in January they kidnapped 23 people in the Bwari area council of the capital territory. 

The national president want the federal government to promptly, thoroughly, impartially, independently, effectively and transparently investigate the recurring cases of abduction in many parts of the country, make public the finding of any investigation and ensure that perpetrators of this evil act are brought to justice.
